Kolan is a small picturesque village, situated on gentle slopes above fertile pastures in the centre of the Island of Pag. Kolan is the epicentre of the production of Paški Sir, with its inhabitants whom are famous for their traditions in agriculture and animal husbandry. The seemingly barren rocky hills around Kolan hide the rich pastures of aromatic herbs salted by the Bura and its thunderstorms.
