Zigljen
igljen is a hard type cheese made from a delicate fusion of cow, sheep and goat milk from the Dalmatian region of Croatia. With an abundance of spring water in the region together with the rich minerals of the land, our igljen cheese is slightly spicy with a distinctive aroma.
Aged for a minimum of 3 months, we also present our mature igljen at 6 and 12 months.
Zigljen is mostly served with white wine like Grasevina and Welschriesling. If the igljen is more mature, then reds such as Merlot or Terran are perfect.
Gligora's new Dairy
Gligora's new Dairy is one of the most modern and technologically advanced in Croatia. With 1,800m2 of floor space comprising of the production rooms, a new laboratory, offices and meeting rooms as well as a large cheese tasting room with bar.
