Our cheese factory is situated in the village called Kolan, little place on the gentle slope, surrounded by the hilly pastures under which lays the fruitful field of Kolan. Since the ancient times Kolan was the agricultural center of the island of Pag, mostly oriented on sheep breeding and production of the famous Pag cheese.








Most of the cheese-making in Kolan is now made in our company which cooperates with 200 families on the island of Pag by buying sheep milk and producing Pag cheese. Beside that, for the production of other types of cheese, we use goat and cow milk from the Ravni Kotari region near Zadar.

The production of cheese in our dairy is based on the tradition of the artisan cheese from Pag along with new methods of cheese technology. Therefore, authochtony has been preserved and, at the same time, a highly rated standard product has been made which can be compared to the most famous cheese in the world.
Sirena - mala sirana d.o.o. employs 11 people, and Director and the sole founder of the company, as well as the Head technologist is Mr. Ivan Gligora who is one of the most famous experts and practitioners in the field of hard cheese technology in Croatia. Our cheese has the Gligora signature which is a guarantee of quality that comes from our family tradition and experience.
